The Collaboration - simple task type provides a more streamlined process for delegating a task to a partner, with the same outcome but with less formality than Collaboration - full.
The task type involves actions for the task owner and the partner. In the simple case:
Owner:
- Set task details. The task description and attachments will be used as the partner instructions.
- Set Dates.
- Set Reminders if required.
- Assign the task to the partner.
- Send the task to the partner.
Partner:
- Open the response page. The Open action is the default action when the user selects the task, or can be selected from the tasks' context menu. Opening the page automatically indicates that the task has started.
- Perform the task.
- Complete the response page and use the Submit button to submit the response.
Owner:
- View the response. See Instructions and response.
- Validate the response, which will complete the task.
The Collaboration - simple task type uses a modified response form which includes buttons to submit the response.
