To find task advanced edit, go to the Settings folder, select the Folders option, select the folder containing the task, locate the task in the list, and select Advanced edit from the task's context menu shown in the Action drop down.
The advanced edit has four tabs:
- Process
- Connections
- Folders
- Advanced
Use Apply or select a tab to save changes. Use Save to save changes and return.
The fields are described below. The only one you are likely to need is Configuration options in the Advanced tab.
Process
Name | Modify the name. This will cause problems for most tasks as the name is held in the task definition, too, and modifying it here will cause inconsistencies. |
Worker active | Do not change this |
Action required | Turn the action required flag on or off. |
Connections
Connections | Shows connections to the process owner or process partner. |
Folders
Folders | Sets a different folder for the task. It is safer to use the Move option for the task, which understands task sequences. |
Private | Toggles whether or not to show the connections for the task in the Task list. |
Advanced
Parent | For sub tasks, the parent task. Better maintined through the Move option. |
Sequence | For sub tasks, the sequence within the parent task. Better maintained through the Move option. |
Configuration options |
A JSON structure for additional options for the task. Template To mark this task as a template, set the "export" property to "publicTaskTemplate". See Templates. Icon You can specify that a task should be shown as in icon in the Current folder. This removes it from the Task list. The task is still shown in the Plan view. To do this:
Dates Set "showDate" to false to remove the date for the task in Task list. Content Set "content" to additional content to show in the Task list. |
