Administrators can view a list of all folders in Relay by using the Folder option from the Settings folder.
The Action menu offers two options.
New folder | Use this to create a new folder. |
Refresh all |
Refresh the folder hierarchy. This performs the following:
Refresh all does not refresh the tasks in the folders - use the Refresh tasks folder action described below. |
Use the name of a folder to see details of the folder.
This is read-only view of the same folder details that you can modify using Edit folder.
The folder contains a list of tasks and related folders. The list may have more tasks in than you see in the Task list and Plan view because of differences in task visibility (this is to do with the Private setting in Folder permissions).
The folder context menu (from the Action drop down) may contain additional options not available from other views. This includes:
Delete tasks |
Delete all the tasks in the folder. This will delete all the tasks in the folder. You should only use this to clean up a folder. You should use the normal Delete task in most cases. If you want to forcibly delete just one task, do the following:
You can also use the Edit option from the top right menu, or the Edit option from the panel, to open Task advanced edit. |
Edit process type | Modify what sort of folder this is. This involves entering a code that is understood by the module that controls the folder. You may get instructions to change this. |
Refresh folder | Re-retrieve the folder definition. This will happen automatically when a module is updated, but sometimes it is useful to force the refresh. |
Refresh tasks |
Refresh all the tasks in the folder and in sub folders, to pick up changes in permissions. Using this from the Home folder will refresh all tasks. |
Set Relay as default module | For the Relay connection folder only, changes configuration so that Relay is used for all folders. |
Remove Relay as default module | For the Relay connection folder only, changes configurations to that Relay is only used on folders that speciflcally specify it. |
The task list has an Action drop down showing the task context menu. When seen from the folder view, this includes a new option, Advanced edit, which is described in Task advanced edit.
